Osun State Traditional Council Suspends Iwo Monarch For Six Months Over Attack On Traditional Ruler

Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwo, has been suspended for six (6) months by the Council of Osun State Traditional Rulers.

His suspension followed an emergency meeting of top monarchs across the state including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, in Osogbo, the capital.

A committee which was headed by Orangun of Ila, Oba Wahab Adedotun, was also set up to further investigate the mugging case involving Oluwo and another monarch in Iwo land.
