Orji Uzor Kalu’s Properties Spotted By EFCC Over the N7bn Fraud


The Anti-graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has spoted properties belonging to Orji Uzor Kalu, the former governor of Abia State.

According to a statement by the agency’s spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, the marking of the properties followed the 5th December, 2019 order of Justice Muhammed Idris sitting at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos State.

Slok Nigeria Ltd and The Sun Newspaper are among Orji’s properties spotted by the EFCC.

Zidec Exclusive reported earlier that Orji Kalu, is currently serving a 12 years jail term, over N7.5bn belonging to the state he embezzled while he was serving as a governor of the state.
