No Mercy For Pipeline Vandals, Lagos Governor, Says After Abule-Egba Fire Outbreak

The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has issue a warning to the pipeline vandals in the state while reacting to Sunday 19th January’s fire outbreak at Abule-Egba area of Lagos State.

The fire, which started after vandals breached a pipeline to steal petrol in the area, left three persons dead while seven houses was destroyed by the incident including a hotel.

Sanwo-Olu commended officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency for their swift response in extinguishing the fire. He added that his thoughts and prayers are with the families and businesses affected in the unfortunate incident.

We are grateful for the brave members of LASEMA and our fire service team that swung into action working all night to reduce the impact of the fire outbreak. There won’t any mercy for pipeline vandals at all. We must work together to ensure man-made incidents like are averted.

We all have a role to play, both the citizens and security officials.
