Ahmadu Fintiri, the governor of Adamawa State, has sworn to probe the administration of his predecessor, Jibrilla Bindo. Just few hours after a ruling by the Supreme Court on Tuesday 21st January, 2020 affirming his election victory, Fintiri said it was time to clean up the mess in the state.
During a rally in Yola, the state capital, on Wednesday, 22nd January, Fintiri said, “I must make sure that the state and local government looters return public money to the state.
Anyone or group of persons involved in looting the resources of the state ought to be investigated. No matter their position in the society, they would be probed. The governor described the apex court’s judgment as a positive development for the state, adding that his administration will deliver on promises made to the people.
