BREAKING: The Two Abducted Catholic Priests Regains Their Freedom


As at last weekend, Zidec Exclusive reported that Two Catholic Priests were abducted on their way to a wedding ceremony in in Ondo State have regained their freedom. The Catholic Priests by name; Rev. Fr. Josephat Nweke and Rev. Fr. Felix Efobi of the Catholic Diocese of Awka in Anambra State were released in the early hours of today being Wednesday 11th December, 2019. The two Reverend Fathers has finally regained their freedom. 

They were abducted along the Owo-Benin Road in Ose Local Council Area of Anambra State. 

A member of the Ondo Catholic Diocese confirmed the release of the two Reverend Fathers in the early hours of Wednesday. He said; “Yes, the two Reverend fathers have regained their freedom but I have not set my eyes on them, but I spoke with my Catechist few minutes ago who told me that have regained their freedom, that he have seen them, he told me that he was coming back from the church to welcome them.

The police Spokesperson Ondo, Femi Joseph, for the in could not be reached for comments when contacted on Wednesday.

The Abductors demanded a ransom of One Hundred Million Naira before they will be released, but our news did not confirm how much ransom that was paid before they were finally released.
