A Jos Upper Area Court sitting in Kasuwan Nama II on Monday verdicts one Mansir Yakubu to three (3) months imprisonment for being unlawfully in possession of dried leave of India Hemp (Cannabis Sativa) or marijuana.
A young man of 21 years old have been jailed 3 months over Marijuana. Mr. Yahaya Mohammed, the presiding Judge, convicted Yakubu, after he was found guilty to the charge. Yahaya sentenced him to three months imprisonment with an option of N 10,000 fine.
Earlier, the Police prosecutor, Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that on 11th October, based on information received, the police raided and arrested the accused, who resides at Williams street, in Jos.
Furthermore, he said that the accused had dry leaves of Indian Hemp in his possession.
